In celebration of Women’s History Month — We are excited to announce that two exceptional women are running to represent New Gloucester in the Maine Legislature. Let’s show the power of women running and the power of women (and men) voting in the upcoming elections. We must continue to protect the rights of women in Maine and across the nation to have access to gender affirming and abortion care. And we must protect our devoted health care professionals from civil and criminal proceedings for providing such care. Clearly state legislatures are becoming the bulwark for women’s rights, access to reproductive care, and much more. Those we elect from our small towns across the state will make the difference in who controls the legislature and whether we can continue to protect our rights.
